Photography

I am now offering my services as a wedding photographer on a casual basis. I am offering a range of options for flat fees. You can hire me for ceremony only, ceremony and reception and a whole day offering.

As I do not currently have an extensive wedding portfolio, I am offering my services at a heavily discounted rate (compared to other wedding photographers). I will also offer more for your money. If you hire me you will get:

  • all photos that are taken during the day on DVD (as many copies as you wish)
  • extensive software retouching of the best shots of the day* to ensure best quality
  • three sets of 6 x 4 prints of all the retouched photos*
  • your choice of ten photos to be printed up to 10 x 8 in high quality
  • a photobook of the whole day (using an online service, such as Photobox or other if preferred)

* up to a maximum of 200 photos (or 200 per set of prints)

The charge for my services for a whole day, including all the above services, is £600. I will work down from there depending on what you would like me to cover, so please do give me a call on 07740 343178 to find out more!

Please note: I am an amateur photographer and I do not wish to mislead you into thinking that I am offering a professional service. This is purely an interest of mine which I feel could help generate some much needed income! However, I can assure you that I pour all of my passion for photography into everything I do and whilst I don't label myself as a professional, I certainly conduct myself as one!

How did I get started

Since I was very young I have had an interest in photography. This was probably due to my Dad being a keen amateur and wherever we went as kids, he would go with his trusty SLR.

It was Dad who bought me my first camera when I was about 6 years old, a small Sirius compact, which I loved and used until it finally broke down. With that camera I took this picture of St Paul’s Cathedral:

Since that time my interest in photography has grown and grown. I have never been able to afford top kit, but I always try to ensure I have the right gear for any particular job. My current kit consists of:

  • Canon 400D SLR body
  • Canon 18-70mm kit lens
  • Sigma 70-300mm APO DG macro lens
  • Zenitar 15mm fisheye (M42 bayonet mount with EOS adaptor)
  • Canon Speedlight 430

I spend quite a lot of time on eBay looking out for elusive bargains to complement my kit. I am currently after a nice f2.8 zoom lens and 50mm prime lens.
